dodoi!/Sick!

Ethan esta dodoi...alias, depois de um susto enorme Gracas a Deus, ele ja esta melhorando! Ele pegou dois virus: Epstein-Barr e CMV. Os simptomas eram:febre alta, tosse, muita secrecao, falta de apetite, perda de peso, fatiga e os ganglios do pescoco estavam super inchados(Tadinho!). Semana passada fomos ao medico quase todos os dias da semana(so nao fui quarta), um absurdo de caro, cada visita custa $35 dollares(e o que eles chamam co-pay do plano de saude)e os medicos aqui pareciam que nem sabiam o que estava acontecendo com ele. Vcs sabem que eu nao sou muito fa da medicina nos EUA, entao imaginem o que eu nao reclamei la. Primeiro pediram um exame de garganta p/ ver se era simplesmente uma inflamacao(o que durou 2 dias p/ receber o resultado); mas eu fui insistente e voltei la no outro dia e pedi p/ ver outro medico, que passou um exame completo de sangue(que durou outros 2 dias p/ saber o resultado), entao resolvi esperar p/ saber o resultado...como nao ouvi nada do medico marquei consulta de novo p/ saber o que havia com meu pimpolho. Ele me disse que eram esses dois virus e me passou uma maratona de remedios(imagina so os precinhos de cada um!!) e falou que queria ve-lo de novo no dia seguinte. Qdo cheguei la ele disse que queria observar o pulmao dele melhor e me mandou p/ Hospital fazer um RX. Voltei p/ casa e continuei dando a medicacao dele como foi prescrito, qdo recebi a ligacao do medico dizendo que ele tb estava com pneumonia.(Passou Zitromax) Meu coracao quase para! Tadinho do meu bebe!!!! :( Alguns dias ja se passaram e ele ja esta sarando...estamos cuidando bem dele e prestando bem atencao nos horarios de remedios e sempre dando algo p/ ele beber p/ nao desidratar. E isso...depois falo comento mais sobre como ele esta. Desculpa fiquei sem escrever por tanto tempo...:) beijos

The symptoms were:high fever, cough, weezing, runny nose, loss of apetite, loss of weight, fatigue and his neck was very swollen(poor thing!). Last week I took him to the doctor almost every day(just didn't go on wednesday), so expensive coz our co-pay is $35 dollars and the doctors seemed like the didn't have a clue what the hell he had gotten. I was calling the office and pushing so someone would give me an answer sooner... The first day they did a strep test(which took 2 days to get the results), but I decided to go back the next day anyways to see another doctor just in case. This new doctor asked for a blood test(which took another 2days to get the results back from the lab)...so by thuursday, since again I didn't hear back from them, I made another appointment and finally heard about the viruses. He prescribed a ton of drugs(imagine how expensive that was!) and said he wanted to see him again the following day. When I got there he said he wanted an RX of his lungs, so we went to the hospital and got that done. Got back home and gave him his medicine as usual. By noon I got a call from the doctor saying he had gotten pneumonia as well(prescribed Zithromax). My heart almost stopped beating...poor baby!! :( A few days has passed by since then and he is now feeling much better... we are taking good care of him and giving him all his medicine on the right time and checking if he is drinking enough fluids so he won't get dehidrated. I just went on your website, I was wondering how little Ethan is feeling, thought I might see pic of him smiling again, but no luck... Poor little Ethan! Poor Parents too! You all must be totally exhausted. Just take it easy, as you wait it all out. Alannah has her own nubilizer and her inhaler looks just like the one Ethan has on it the picture, so we know what it is like. Alannah and Jason took Monday off, they were both sick. Now Avila has congestion too, seems like the change of season is affecting everyone... Take good care. Love to all. Alex.

Amanda when i heard he had mono i was terrifided he doesn't deserve it! then my mom called my dad while out on a job and i asked him he was done and he said that he had pneumonia and might have to be hospitalized i almost started crying! get better ethsn i sent you a present. Amanda and Jonh you are great parents!
