Last days!

Only 3 more days in paradise! :( It´s so sad to leave...but comforting to know I have someone to go back to. Miss my sweety immensily!!! Well...I am arriving friday morning probably by 9 am at the LAX. From the airport we are gonna be going straight to Vegas. Wanna spend some time with my husband and son...just the 3 of us. Be back to California on saturday morning to see John´s family and go to my great friend Julie´s baby shower. Miss everyone!

Ethan is doing great. He is not too happy about going back. He said to me after I told him we are gonna be leaving pretty soon: " I know mama, how about we ask daddy to come see us instead. He would like it here!" hehehe too funny! He is very into soccer now...so I got him a brazilian soccer team outfit and my dad got him the apropriate shoes. He was so happy...put them on right away and went to play soccer in the yard. :) He said I will speak to him in portuguese and John will talk to him in english. He really likes to be able to speak both languages. It´s very cute. I am so proud of him!!

Yesterday we had a barbecue at my house. My family came over to say bye bye to ethan and I since we leave on a thursday and everyone will be working. It´s actually better this way so Ethan doesn´t get so upset. It´s really sad to see him crying the way he does when we leave.

Well...last day of work for me, so I am gonna finish things up here. See you all soon!

NOVIDADES!

Time really flies when you're having fun! Can't believe we only have another 12 days here! I am sooooo divided!! Same time I wanna be here with my family I am dying to see John and all of you. Gosh, scared of Ethan's reaction the day we leave. Every year is worse! He screams saying he wants to stay here with his vovozinho! :( It really sucks!

Well, let me share with you the good news! Ethan no longer wears diapers...not even to sleep at night! I am soooooooooooooooo proud of him!! He is so full of himself...so cute! He says he is a big boy now and diapers is only for baby jack(who is Marea's little brother). hillarious! He is also bilingual...speaking portuguese like a pro! He makes little mistakes but still...too damn fast to learn like he did. He seems to be good at languages like his mama. Next step for me is Italian...have always hanted to learn this language and think it will be actually pretty easy since it's so similar to portuguese. Then I will teach it to Ethan too...when he grows up and is ready to travel, he will know a few languages to help him out. If it depends on me he will be living each year on a different country...learning as much as he can from real life. Will teach him how to be a humble and practical person. There is much truth to be seen, and so many amazing things to be learned that classroom alone isn't able to teach. Hope John and I will be able to be joining him sometimes... somewhere in this world! ;)

Well, Amelia needs the computer to study..so gotta go!

News from Brazil!

Hi there!

As most of you know, we are still in Brazil! It's been raining cats and dogs here!!!!!! Crazy... hate rain! Miss my baby,John! Be back before you know it honey...

I am still trying to get rid of this terrible cold I got here. Be done with medication tomorrow night...thank God! Haven't been able to go out much and see people, and the days are passing by so fast! My head is a mess, at the same time I wanna be home, I want to be here with everyone...never ends! Ethan is having a blast here, speaking a lot of portuguese now...adorable to see it! Makes my heart scream of happiness! He calls ne "mamae" now. I love it! He's been eating a lot...and all the time too! Now I am trying to get him to pee in the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Well...he is calling me and we have visitors...so I will write more later on!

I uploaded some new pictures from our vacation. Gosh...If I can still call it vacation...it's been raining so much the past week. I have been busy helping my sister out and trying to see everyone until it's time to leave.  The day before mother's day was a blast...we went to this cool party which was the promotion of my uncle's 3rd cd...and we danced so much! Ethan and I. He was the best boy...such a gentleman! The next day. mother's day, we had lunch together:my dad, my mom, my sisters, ethan and I. Was nice to be able to spend time with them alone...;) I also have been prety sick the past 2 days...got a terrible cold and tried my best to fight it off, but no luck. Dad has been giving me medications and I am trying to rest as much as I can, drink plenty of liquid...bla,bla, bla. Well. please let me know you are checking out the page...leave me some feedback!
