It was about 4:55 in the morning when I heard the sonic boom thinking it was some gun shots but...it was so much louder than that. I ran to the living room where Murray, Gayle and Julia were watching the LANDING OF THE DISCOVERY. I felt so proud for some reason! A bit of history in the making...perfect landing. I will never forget there words: "...and discovery is home" . CONGRATULATIONS!

Era 4:55 da manha quado ouvi o supersonico boom. Pensei que era tiro mas foi tao mais alto que isso... corri p/ sala onde Murray, Gayle e Julia estavam assistindo o POUSO DO DISCOVERY. Senti um orgulho danado! Um pouco de historia acontecendo bem ali...pouso perfeito! Nunca vou esquecer essas palavras:"... e discovery esta em casa". PARABENS!

These are Sammy and Marea, Ethan's little friends. I took these pictures at Julie's house the day she hosted a barbecue/birthday party for John and I. The girls were playing dress up and I asked them to play too by being their photographer...kkkkk of course they loved that! hehe

Surprise party

No sabado passado fiz uma festa surpresa p/ John na casa da mae de um amigo dele. Bolamos uma historia que o amigo dele, Tim estava se divorciando da esposa. Ele ligou p/ John falando que ia passar aqui em casa porque precisava conversar com ele. Enquanto isso eu tava no meu caminho a casa do Tim p/ buscar a esposa dele e seguir p/ o local da festa.(Eu fui a casa do Tim no dia anterior e levei as coisas todas, comida, pratos, talheres, copos, bebidas...ai ficou mais facil e acreditavel pq ele nao viu nada) Foi muito engracada a cara do John que abriram a porta e ele viu todo mundo...sem brincadeira demorou uns segundos p/ ficha cair. Ele ainda estava em choque com a historia que o amigo ia se separar...kkkkk Tim levou ele a casa(onde seria a festa) dizendo que era a casa do advogado..kkkkk Ele amou e gostou muito de rever os amigos do emprego de vegas...ja que vamos nos mudar eu queria que ele pudesse aproveitar um pouco da compahia dos colegas.

Last saturday I had a surprise b-day party for John. It was at his friend's mother's house who has a very nice pool. We came up with this story that Tim(his other friend) was getting a divorce. So he called John saying he needed to talk to him and that he was gonna stop by to pick him up. I had already taken all the stuff for the party to Tim's house the day before so John wouldn't see it...and that made it much easier and beliaveble. While Tim was on his way to my house, I was on my way to his to pick up Diep(his wife). We rushed to his friend's mother's house and got all ready to wait for John. So funny...it took him a moment to recover after entering and hearing us scream surprise. He was still in shock from hearing about "Tim's divorce". We had an amazing time...was so happy to be able to get him together with is friends at least one more time before we move out of Vegas. Thanks to you all, guys and girls too, for the help...we appreciated it.
