Kindergarten!/Alfabetizacao!

Ethan started school yesterday!! He is so excited and loved his first day. The school is great and so is the teacher. I know he is gonna have a terrific year. I went to take him and kind of hoped he would cry a bit to make me feel better...haha but no, he was all smiles and waved bye many times. Kind of like "ok mom, you can go now!" haha so independent! It was hard to leave school I tell you...he is my company, my buddy. It will be harder than I thought to have him gone, even though it's only for 3 hours. :( here are some pictures:

Ethan comecou escola ontem! Ele esta bastnte animado e amou o primeiro dia. A escola e otima e tb a professora. Eu tenho certeza que ele vai ter um ano incrivel. Eu fui deixa-lo ontem e um pouco que esperando que ele cdesse uma choradinha p/ me fazer nao ficar triste, mas quem disse...haha ele olhava p/ mim e dizia "ok mae, voce pode ir agora!" tao independente! Devo confessar que foi dificil deixa-lo na escola... ele e minha compahia, meu amigo. Vai ser mais dificil do que pensei estar sem ele mesmo que seja somente por 3 horinhas...:( aqui estao algumas fotos:

Olha so como minha princesa esta sorridente!!! Hj fiz umas fotos no quartinho dela...ficaram bem legais. Tenho que levar ela la fora e fazer um verdadeiro book dessa minha modelo linda. Estou postando varias fotos novas aqui de casa, de nosso passeio a Santa Barbara, do Ethan, dos irmaozinhos juntos... enfim, varias fotos novas p/ vcs! Espero que gostem...em breve falo de como estamos aqui. Mainha hj foi a Los Angeles passear com minha amiga Cynthia. Ja sao 8:30 e nada delas ainda...estao se divertindo!! :)

Look at my princess smiling!!! Today I did a few pictures of her in her room...they turned out pretty ok. I am adding some new pictures of us at home, our day in Santa Barbara last friday, some of Ethan, os the kids together... hope you all like them! Soon I will write a bit about us here. Mom went to LA today with my friend Cynthia...it's already 8:30 and they are not back yet...they are having fun!! :)

What to say about my little princess!? She is so calm and easy, sometimes doesn't even feel like we have a newborn in the house. She barely cries and is such a curious little one...always with those big eyes watching us and everything around her. She has this old sould look to her....like she gets it all. Too funny! We have been learning about each other and dealing with night time feedings when sometimes she wants to pull an all nighter and just stay awake watching me fall asleep on her...haha Last couple of nights she has been great, between 3 to 5 hours asleep and when she wakes up is for a quick change of diapers and a little snack and she is fast asleep again. In the car she is fantastic...she falls asleep as soon as we start to drive...just like her big brother Ethan used to be. She has been nursing non stop and I decided to stop suplementing with formula coz she had a little problem going potty a few days ago and it was not fun for either of us. She was up all night and so was I with her! I am huge now...went from a size 34B to a 36E... Talk about Pamela Anderson! haha It's like getting a boob job without getting a boob job! haha We went for her 2 weeks check up and she is doing terrific, growing fast and developing well. Doctor said she is "perfection!" So happy to hear! Daddy and big brother are very much in love with her too...she loves to stare at them and give them smiles here and there. It's awesome having my mom here!! she helps me with caring for the baby and lets me take good naps in the afternoon in case belinha decides she wants to have a slumber party at night. hehe My mom has also been making us some awesome brazilian food... so nice of her! Will definately miss having her around! I am doing great, have been up and running since the day after delivery. Pretty much back to my prepregnancy size and gonna start doing some exercises soon. I guess that's all for now...:)

O que dizer sobre a minha princesa? Ela e tao calma e facil, as vezes nem parece que temos um bebe em casa. Ela quase nao chora e e muito curiosa... sempre com os olhoes abertos e sempre observando a gente e as coisas ao redor dela. Ela tem esse olhar que parece que ela ja entende de tudo, uma graca! Estamos uma aprendendo sobre a outra e lidando com amamentacao a noite qdo as vezes ela quer passar a noite toda acordada e ficar me observando dormir...haha Ultimamente ela tem sido otima, dorme entre 3 e 5 horas direto e qdo ela acorda e p/ tracar frauda e comer rapidinho e logo ela esta roncando de novo. No carro ela e fantastica... ela dorme assim que comecamos a dirigir, do mesmo jeito que o irmao dela fazia. Ela tem mamado direto e decidi parar com mamadeira pq ela teve um pequeno problema de prisao de ventre umas noites atras e nao foi nada legal nem p/ mim nem p/ ela que passou a noite inteira acordada tentando "descarregar". Eu to enorme!!! Passei do tamanho 42 ao 48... como se tivesse feito cirurgia nos seios, sem ter extamente feito cirurgia. haha To parecendo a Pamela Anderson!! Fomos ao medico ontem p/ consulta dela de 2 semanas de nascida. Ela esta otima, crescendo e desenvolvendo super bem. O medico disse que ela e "perfeicao!". Tao bom ouvir isso! Papai e irmao estao completamente apaixonados por ela... ela gosta de ficar olhando eles e dar sorrisos de vez em qdo. muito linda! Minha mae estando aqui tem sido maravilhoso! Ela me ajuda a cuidar de Belinha e ate me deixa dormir um pouco a noite p/ aguentar a belinha a noite no caso dela querer passar a noite em claro. Ela tb tem feito comida brasileira p/ a gente...uma delicia! Vou sentir falta dela qdo ela for p/ casa ...:( Eu estou otima, ja bem dizer voltei a forma de antes da gravidez e logo comeco a malhar. Estou de pe e fazendo tudo dese o dia depois do nascimento da isa.  Acho que e isso por agora... :)

Belly button/ Umbigo

My cord fell off today...Now I will be working on getting a sexy belly button...hehe

It's my 9th day of life outside my mommy's comfy tummy. I feel pretty good! Have been eating and sleeping tons and think I have already grown a lot. Mommy and daddy still debate on the color of my eyes. Daddy thinks it's brown and my mom thinks it will have a green tint to it...we'll see in a few months. My big brother Ethan loves me very much, he comes to check on me all the time and tells me how cute I am. silly boy! He is just as busy as always and is getting ready for school that starts very soon and so does his soccer classes which he loves so much. I bet he will be a great soccer player one day.

I am very melow and love to smile. I have my mommy's hands and my daddy's feet, also my daddy's mouth and shape of nose but the size is all mama's. hehe

Vovozinha is here too. She is so sweet to me. My days at home are fun. I have friends and family who come over to see me... most of the time I am asleep though. :( Growing up is hard...gets me tired! ;) well...time to eat! beijos

Meu cordao caiu hoje. Agora vou exercitar p/ ficar com um umbigo bem sexy!! hehe

E o meu nono dia de vida fora da barriga da mamae. Me sinto muito bem! Tenho comido e dormido muito e acho que ja cresci bastante. Mommy e daddy ainda falam da cor dos meus olhos. daddy acha que vao ser castanhos e mommy acha que vai ficar meio esverdeado...vamos ver daqui alguns meses. Meu irmaozao Ethan me ama muito. Ta sempre me olhando e dizendo que sou uma gracinha. Esta sempre bem ocupado brincando e se preparando p/ escola que comeca em breve como tb as aulas de futebol que ele ama tanto. Eu aposto que ele vai ser um grande jogador um dia.

Eu sou muito calminha e amo sorrir. Eu tenho as maos de mamae e os pes de papai. E a boca de papai e o formato do nariz, mas o tamanho e certamente de mamae...hehe

Vovozinha ta aqui tb. Ela e tao doce comigo! Meus dias em casa sao muito legais. Tenho amigos e familia que vem me ver...mas na maioria das vezes estou dormindo. Crescer e trabalho duro...me deixa cansada!:) bem...vou comer! beijos

The new addition!/ A nova adicao!

Que semana! Tenho certeza que agora todo mundo same que Isabeli chegou. Ela nasceu quinta passada no Community Memorial Hospital em Ventura( mesmo hospital que Ethan nasceu)Foi um parto normal muito facil apesar de demorado. Foi muito rapido... Eu pedi a peridural mas depois de umas horinhas estando bem comfortavel eu comecei a sentir um pouco de dor novamente e sentir muita pressao no bumbum. Dr. voltou p/ ver o que estava havendo e me deu mais droga mas ainda assim eu pude sentir a pressao. A enfermeira tinha me checado 30 min antes mas eu pedi p/ ela checar de novo pois tinha certeza que eu estava mais dilatada ja e qdo ela checou eu estava completamente dilatada e ela disse "nossa ela tem muito cabelo" E eu pensei como assim ela tem muito cabelo? E ela saiu chamando pelo medico que veio logo atras e depois de fazer muito pouca forca ela nasceu. Super rapido, 10 min e tudo havia acabado. Dr. Gustafson foi otimo, muito calmo e sempre me dizendo como eu estava indo bem e que jaja Isabeli estaria nos meus bracos. Mas eu nao sou dramatica, fiz o que ele mandou e num passe de magica tudo havia acabado e eu estava pronta p/ ir ao quarto p/ poder descansar. Foi uma experiencia maravilhosa, ja estava de pe no dia seguinte e fazendo as coisas como normalmente faco. Isabeli e linda demais... beijar e abracar ela nunca e o bastante. Tem sido tao bom ter minha mae aqui com a gente. Eu nao sou muito fa de cuidar de recem nascido entao ter uma pessoa experiente e otimo.Melhor ainda sendo minha mae!!

Ethan esta muito feliz com a irmazinha nova...quer sempre ta tocando nela e segurar e ajudar um pouco...a menos que interfira com a hora de brincar dele. haha Papai e tao doce, esta completamente apaixonado de novo! E eu posso dizer com orgulho que estou amando uma menina!

What a week! I am sure by now everyone knows Isabeli is finally here. She was born last thursday at the Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura( same hospital Ethan was born). It was a very easy natural birth and after a few hours of labor and only a couple of pushes she was born. It was very fast... I had asked for the epidural but after being pretty comfortable for a while it somehow didn't quite work anymore and I started to feel so much pressure on my bottom. Doctor came back to see what was up and gave me some more drugs but still I could feel that pressure. The nurse had just checked me 30 min before and I was 4 cm dialated but I told her to check me again coz I could swear I was way more than that and when she did I was fully dialated and she said "oh wow, she has a lot of hair" I was like...what do you mean she has a lot of hair? and she left calling for the doctor who came very fast and after 3 sets of pushes she was out. No tear, no nothing...10 min and it was all over. Doctor Gustafson was great, very calm and reasuring. I am not a dramatic person though, I just wanted to get things done and be on my way to the recovery room so I could get some rest. So that was a very good experience, I was already up the very next day doing things like I normaly do. Isabeli is just too cute...can't get enough of her! It's been so awesome having my mom here to help. I am not a big fan of the very first days caring for an infant and so it feels great knowing she knows what she is doing and is here for me.

Ethan is very happy with his little sister ...he wants to touch her and hold her and help a bit, as long as it doesn't interfere with his play time. haha Daddy is so sweet, he fell in love all over again. And I am actually proud to say I am in love with a girl!

iT'S TODAY!!! / E HOJE!!!

E HJ O GRANDE DIA!!! Estamos a caminho do hospital p/ receber nossa Isabeli! Papai do ceu seja meu medico e que tudo corra bem p/ que ela de o ar da graca bem rapido p/ mama dela nao sofrer muito. Parto sera induzido assim como o do Ethan. Assim que eu voltar p/ casa eu postarei fotos da nossa princesa p/ que todos que vem acompanhando minha gravidez possam conhece-la. Por favor deixem recadinhos p/ posteridade e p/ que eu possa tb imprimir e colocar no albinho dela. Bju grande

Today is the big day!!! We are on our way to the hospital to welcome our baby Isabeli! God be my doctor and help for everything to happen pretty fast so her mama won't suffer so much. She is gonna be induced just like Ethan was. As soon as I am back home I will be posting pictures of our little princess for all of you who have been watching the progress of my pregnancy to finally meet her. Please leave us messages so I can print them out and place them on her baby book. kisses
